Course Summary

This course addresses how to lessen the adverse impacts of stormwater runoff from development and urban runoff on natural drainage systems, receiving waters, and other water bodies. It also explains how to minimize pollutant loadings from impervious surfaces by requiring development projects to incorporate properly-designed, technically-appropriate Best Management Practices (BMPs) and other Low Impact Development (LID) strategies.

Learning Objectives

By the end of this course, the participant should understand the LID Standards Manual, the stormwater management requirements, the methodology required for calculating the volume of stormwater runoff, and maintentance requirements.
